Academy Development: Admissions
Schools can apply to start a NAF academy through one of two options: Fast Track or Year of Planning.
Launching a NAF academy begins with forming a multi-disciplinary team and leveraging NAF’s proven framework to connect education, business, and community—creating meaningful opportunities that prepare students for college, career, and future success.
NAF encourages full district engagement to support effective, sustainable academy implementation. Before applying, use the Interest Survey to assess readiness and determine which admissions option best fits your goals:
Fast Track: For schools with existing career-pathway structures ready to document alignment with the NAF design and launch on an accelerated timeline.
Year of Planning: For schools seeking dedicated planning time to build a strong academy foundation, engage partners, and develop a comprehensive academy design plan before launch.
Ready to apply? Contact Jennifer Geisler, Director of Emerging Academies, to start your application. Please include: District name, high school name, and the desired admissions program. All applications are subject to approval to ensure alignment with NAF's mission.
